Registered Nurse – Primary Care – NEW POSITION  
Location: Northern Clinic (Wawa, Chapleau & Surrounding Area) 
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent 
Salary Range: $72,025 – $88,581

Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services Inc. delivers accessible, high-quality, holistic care that supports the wellness of individuals, families, and communities. We serve 11 First Nations and one Indigenous Friendship Centre, providing integrated services in primary care, traditional healing, mental wellness, home and community care, and health promotion. We are proud to be the first Indigenous-led Ontario Health Team. 


The opportunity: Reporting to the Integrated Care Manager and working under the clinical direction of the Team Lead Nurse Practitioner, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive, client-centered primary health care services across the lifespan. As part of an interdisciplinary team at the Northern Clinic, the RN will deliver care that is respectful of Anishinabek values, integrates traditional knowledge, and supports the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health needs of clients and families. 


What you need to bring with you: 
•    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) 
•    Current registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses


      of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse 
•    Completion of or willingness to complete the RN Prescribing


      Course (asset) 
•    3–5 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in primary care


      or community health 
•    Experience working with Indigenous communities (asset) 
•    Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) 
•    Strong communication, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills 
•    Cultural humility and awareness of Anishinabek health and


      traditional practices 
•    Ability to work independently and within a collaborative


      team environment 
•    Valid Ontario driver’s license, clean driving record, and


      reliable transportation 
•    Clear Vulnerable Sector Check

What to expect? Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage, or cedar may occur.
