HHS is currently seeking Registered Nurses who are eligible for the NGG program throughout our organization.

Please submit your resume and a cover letter indicating the top three areas of interest including the site you wish to apply for. Resume submission should highlight your current and previous clinical placements and relevant work experience.

Position Summary

An NGG RN will be expected to complete a competency base orientation and master/maintain the applicable set of competencies on their unit. The NGG RN will provide high quality nursing care to patients and families and will participate in continued education, identification of future clinical/career goals and complete learning plans to achieve those goals. 

Schedule Work Hours

Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays 

This is a temporary 12-week placement.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Registration (within past 12 months) with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse (temporary or general class), in good standing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification 
• Demonstrated knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of patients (in either adult or pediatric setting)
• Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary care and a nursing professional practice model 
• Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care plan 
• Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques 
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills 
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development 
• Ability and willingness to work in different environments 
• ACLS/ATLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, where appropriate would be considered an asset
