Registered Nurse (RN) Overnight Shifts at LTC 8 & 12 hour shifts

We have  2 RN vacancies for our LTC IOOF in Barrie. The shift is overnights, casual pick up, 8 and 12 hour shifts- MUST be available every other weekend starting ASAP. The successful RN candidate must have LTC experience 2+ years.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Conducting assessments and reassessments
• Developing, monitoring, and updating plans of care, as assigned
• Providing medication support and administration
• Responding to all emergency situations
• Completing reports and communicating with the family about any changes in care
• Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times
• Charge Nurse Responsibilities 
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario 
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate 
• Vulnerable sector screen (within 6 months) and 2 satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Tracheostomy trained, med resistive and reactive, comfortable with managing seizures
• Must have a valid license and reliable vehicle
• Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations
