What We Offer
Flexible, self-scheduling model (accept shifts through our BookStaff app!).
Paid orientation and training at all of our homes.
Additional $7.00/hr on any last-minute shifts posted 8hrs or less prior to the start time.

Duties and Responsibilities
Registered Practical Nurses will be placed in a Long-Term Care Home, hospital, or in the community. The specific responsibilities and duties vary slightly between locations, as well as from shift to shift. These expectations will be communicated during the site-specific orientation. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assess residents and/or patients to identify appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary health team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in resident’s and/or patient’s conditions.
Provide wound care.
Manage personal support workers and delegate tasks to the appropriate members.
Ensure the health, safety, welfare, and independence of residents and/or clients.
Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety regulations set by the province, as well as the policies and procedures of Superior Staff it and any partnered homes.
Follow scope of practice as outlined by the CNO.

Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including; extended standing, walking, and lifting using proper technique.

Proficient in technology and have experience managing electronic health records.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Ability to comply with standard policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
Completion of a recognized RPN program (required).
Registered as an RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses (required).
Minimum 1 year nursing experience (required).
LTC experience is considered an asset.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search.
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (preferred).
Must have access to reliable transportation.
A valid driver’s license, access to own vehicle and possessing own car insurance are considered an asset.
**ALL NECESSARY PPE WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE**
Salary: $36.00/hr
