Job Description - Regulatory Specialist I

Job Summary
The Regulatory Specialist I supports customer regulatory reporting and documentation activities for CEMS and related environmental compliance programs. This entry-level position focuses on completing training and developing proficiency in data review, reporting processes, regulatory documentation, and DAS applications while working under significant oversight and guidance.

 *This position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be employed for a defined period of one year. Any extension beyond the initial 12-month term will be based on business needs and is not guaranteed.*

 


Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with preparation and review of routine CEMS data reports and customer documentation.
• Review data for accuracy, completeness, and potential discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly and annual reporting activities, including IAM and other customer reports.
• Learn applicable Canadian environmental regulations, CEMS requirements, and customer reporting requirements.
• Assist with resolving common EDR and reporting issues.
• Maintain accurate customer, reporting, and regulatory documentation.
• Develop proficiency with StackVision, DataStream/Prism, Salesforce, ServiceMax, and other applicable systems.
• Assist with CEMS/AMD QAPs, CGA reviews, Monitoring Plans, certification reports, variance letters, and related regulatory activities.
• Communicate with customers regarding routine reporting and data review activities with appropriate guidance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Pay Rate 


Starting at $60-75,000/annually

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to learn and apply regulatory requirements and reporting procedures.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn DAS, CEMS, and reporting applications.
 

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
• 0–1 year of related experience preferred.
 

Physical Demands
• Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer.
• Frequent use of standard office equipment.
• Occasionally lift and carry 10–25 pounds.
Work Environment
• Climate-controlled office environment.
• Frequent use of computers, reporting applications, and standard office equipment.
• Occasional travel to customer sites or company facilities may be required.
