This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CareFirstBridge/FEP Claims Tester based in Canada.
This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, quality, and reliability of healthcare claims processing systems. You will perform functional and end-to-end testing across CareFirstBridge and FEP claims workflows, validating system behavior against business requirements. The position involves developing and executing test scenarios, assessing software releases, and identifying issues before they affect production environments. You will work closely with business, development, and QA teams to confirm expected outcomes and resolve defects. A strong understanding of healthcare payer processes and claims business rules will be essential to your success. Accountabilities:
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of CareFirstBridge and FEP claims processing functionality.
- Develop, document, execute, and maintain comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Validate claims processing functionality across software releases, system enhancements, and configuration changes.
- Verify system results against defined healthcare claims workflows, business rules, and expected outcomes.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution and retesting.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA professionals, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
- Support release testing activities and ensure changes meet quality and functional expectations before deployment.
- Maintain thorough testing documentation and provide clear reporting on test progress, results, and outstanding issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in testing practices within an Agile delivery environment.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with CareFirstBridge and FEP claims processing.
- Solid experience performing functional and end-to-end testing within healthcare claims environments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare claims workflows, claims lifecycle processes, and applicable business rules.
- Experience developing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test scenarios.
- Proven ability to perform software release, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience identifying, documenting, managing, and validating defects through resolution.
- Familiarity with healthcare payer systems and claims processing technologies.
- Experience working with defect management and testing tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business, development, and QA teams in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and frameworks is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
