Founding Full-Stack AI Engineer

Location: Remote with ET overlap

About the Role

We are looking for a Founding Full-Stack AI Engineer to own the entire journey from raw operational data to production-ready customer solutions.

You’ll work across data/document intelligence, AI agents & automation, and product/cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on founding-team role where you’ll help define what the company builds and work directly on customer-facing solutions.

What You'll Do

Data & AI

• Build data and document extraction pipelines across PDFs, OCR, Excel, CSVs, emails, and ERP systems.


• Develop production-grade AI agents and automation using Claude, tool calling, structured outputs, and evaluation frameworks.


• Implement verification, reconciliation, and evaluation systems to ensure accurate and reliable outputs.

Product & Cloud

• Own the full AWS infrastructure, including ECS, Lambda, S3, PostgreSQL, queues, and IAM.


• Build and maintain multi-tenant products, dashboards, approval workflows, and customer-facing deliverables.


• Work across the stack, from data pipelines and backend services to React interfaces.

Customer & Engineering

• Work directly with customers to turn messy operational data into production solutions.


• Move quickly from proof-of-value to scalable production systems.


• Establish engineering standards and communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software.


• At least one product owned end-to-end, from data layer through UI.


• Strong Python and TypeScript skills.


• Comfortable working across the full stack, including React, backend services, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.


• Production experience with LLMs and AI agents, ideally Claude API or an equivalent platform.


• Hands-on experience with structured outputs, tool use, agent loops, evaluations, and token optimization.


• Experience integrating data from complex sources, including at least one integration where no API was available.


• Strong AWS experience, including the ability to deploy, secure, operate, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure.


• Strong evaluation mindset with a focus on measurable accuracy and reliability.


• Ability to move quickly from concept to production.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions to business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• OCR / Document AI experience with tools such as PaddleOCR or Tesseract.


• Desktop automation, screen capture, RPA, or process mining experience.


• Experience with financial, accounting, ERP, or operational data.


• Experience with SOC 2, Vanta, or Drata.


• Previous early-stage startup or founding-team experience.
