Job Description - Francophone Programs & Partnerships Lead (13-Month Maternity Leave Coverage)

Embark on a transformative journey with Jack.org, where you will play a pivotal role in reshaping youth mental health across Canada. Our mission is to empower young individuals with community, knowledge, and tools to champion mental well-being. We envision a world where youth experience mental well-being, not distress. We stand poised and determined for this crucial task, backed by committed donors, visionary leadership, and a high-performing team eager to drive meaningful change.

Focused on addressing the prevalent issue of mental health distress among youth—particularly those systematically excluded from mental health dialogue and action—we continuously adapt our programming to reflect the diverse realities of young people across Canada. Our approach centers on upstream prevention of mental distress and the promotion of lasting mental well-being.

As our Francophone Programs & Partnerships Lead, you’ll ensure that Francophone youth across the country are meaningfully supported by Jack.org’s programs and outreach. You’ll implement strategic initiatives, foster community partnerships, support with internal translations as needed, and advocate for culturally and linguistically relevant programming to expand our reach and deepen our impact in Francophone communities.

Position: Francophone Programs & Partnerships Lead
Reporting to: Senior Manager, Equity and Inclusive Partnerships
Location: Toronto / Hybrid
Salary: $55,000–$65,000
Status: Full-Time, 13-Month Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)

About You

  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages

  • Strong understanding of the needs, challenges, and cultural contexts of Francophone youth in Canada

Your Impact

As Lead, Francophone Portfolio, you’ll drive the implementation of Jack.org’s Francophone strategy, ensuring that our work meaningfully engages and reflects the diverse realities of Francophone youth across Canada. You'll support and shape content, partnerships, and programming in an effort to expand our reach and impact.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to embed Francophone perspectives across programs and lead outreach and engagement efforts within Francophone communities. From attending community events to co-developing culturally appropriate resources, your work will help ensure that Francophone youth are not left out of the mental health conversation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Jack.org’s Francophone strategy and coordinate initiatives across departments

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with Francophone organizations, leaders, and communities

  • Represent Jack.org at Francophone community events, conferences, and forums

Program Support & Integration (25%)

  • Ensure Francophone perspectives and content are integrated across all Jack.org programs

  • Contribute to content development and delivery across Jack Talks, Community, Be There, Black Youth programming, and the Indigenous portfolio

  • Provide additional support in translating internal documents from English to French.

Digital Strategy & Communications (10%)

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on Francophone social media and community engagement

  • Co-create and adapt communications to meet regional and cultural nuances

Monitoring, Evaluation & Funding Support (15%)

  • Track and report on the effectiveness of Francophone programming

  • Support the development of grant proposals and reports for Francophone-focused funding opportunities

Ongoing Learning & Collaboration (10%)

  • Stay informed on trends, policies, and emerging issues in the Francophone landscape

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inclusive, aligned, and impactful program delivery

What You’ll Bring

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in program implementation, community engagement, or a related role

  • Proven success developing partnerships with stakeholders in the Francophone ecosystem

  • Strong knowledge of Francophone youth realities, including regional nuances and minority-language rights

  • Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to equity and inclusion

  • Public speaking ability and comfort representing an organization in both languages

  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills

  • Familiarity with Google Suites, Salesforce, and Asana

What’s in it for you?

  • A full-time, 13-month contract position with a salary of $55,000–$65,000 per annum

  • A competitive, comprehensive benefits package

  • The opportunity to contribute to the growth of a national nonprofit with a bold and meaningful mission

  • A flexible, trust-based culture with uncapped sick days and flexible hours

  • Additional paid time off during winter and summer office closures for collective rest

  • A values-driven team that combines purpose with high performance

  • A chance to make a transformative impact on the mental health and well-being of young people across Canada

How to Apply

If you’re the person we’re looking for, apply with your cover letter and resume (PDF format preferred). Applications will be accepted until July 27, 2025, but we will be reviewing them as they come in — so don’t delay! The successful candidate must be able to start by September 2, 2025.

While the work involves supporting a network of youth in all provinces and territories, this position is based at Jack.org’s headquarters in downtown Toronto (hybrid work, across home and office).

At Jack.org, we strongly believe that having a diverse team with various skills and abilities will inspire creativity and drive innovation in our organization. We are committed to building a team representative of different backgrounds and perspectives, and we encourage applications from all candidates who represent the full diversity of communities across Canada.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that equity-deserving communities, including women, people of colour, people from the LGBTQ2S+ communities, and people with diverse abilities are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every qualification. At Jack.org, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, authentic, and accountable workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply — you may be the ideal candidate we’re looking for.

Reasonable accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the hiring process. Accommodation requests can be made by contacting [email protected].
