What is the opportunity?

As an Insurance Advisor, your primary role will be to support the success of our newly launched Broker distribution channel by managing day-to-day customer interactions. This position involves delivering seamless and high-quality customer experience through the accurate and timely handling of insurance queries and transactions. Additionally, you will contribute to internal workflows by building underwriting knowledge, enabling you to better support clients and collaborate effectively across departments.

What will you do?

• Provide outstanding customer service and support to key Affinity Groups.


• Front line underwriting for affinity programs and bespoke vehicle replacement program for commercial vehicles.


• Play a vital role in supporting the successful planning, coordination and execution of new business opportunities and affinity relationships.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, changes and submissions across various insurance products.


• Conduct sales calls and up-sell products to new and existing clients to continue the growth of the business.


• Process policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, invoices, claims notifications and new submissions in line with company procedures.


• Maintain accurate client records and documentation using Applied Epic.


• Review, analyze, underwrite and rate all submissions for products being distributed.


• Adhere to establish underwriting standards and requirements for products being distributed.


• Issuance and recording of all policy documentation following industry standard practices and as authorized by our underwriting facilities.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop enhancements on existing products, expand benefits and assist in the development of new product offerings.


• Contribute to the development and updating of external and internal product collateral and training tools.


• Update and contribute to workflows and procedures to maximize efficiencies.


• Validate transactions for the finance team and contribute to the reporting of monthly bordereau’s.


• Attend industry events from time to time representing the company.

What do you need to succeed?

• Licensing: RIBO with primary auto.


• Working towards CAIB or CIP preferred.


• 2+ years in personal insurance including primary auto.


• Commercial experience is an additional asset.


• Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal.


• Solutions oriented and thrive on solving problems.


• Ability to work in a team environment.


• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office & Applied Epic.


• Strong decision-making skills.


• Attention to detail and ability to manage your time to meet SLAs.


• Excellent English in both written and verbal.


• Service oriented.
