This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow a frontend engineering team responsible for building intuitive, high-impact web applications used in complex, real-world environments. You will play a key role in shaping frontend architecture, setting engineering standards, and ensuring exceptional user and developer experiences. Working closely with product, design, backend, and infrastructure teams, you will translate ambitious product goals into scalable, reliable frontend solutions. The position combines hands-on technical contribution with people leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration. Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, providing technical direction, feedback, and career development support.
- Define and uphold frontend engineering standards, best practices, and architectural patterns.
- Contribute directly to the design and implementation of complex, scalable frontend applications.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, accessible, and performant user interfaces.
- Oversee code reviews, documentation, and testing practices to maintain high code quality.
- Support hiring efforts and help scale the frontend team as the organization grows.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with prior experience leading or mentoring frontend teams.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks and tooling.
- Solid expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches, with a strong eye for UI and UX quality.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and collaborating closely with backend teams.
- Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines, testing frameworks, and performance optimization techniques.
- Understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and best practices for inclusive design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional setting.
- A collaborative mindset, strong sense of ownership, and willingness to continuously learn and upskill.
