This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Portuguese (EU) Voice Recording Contributor based in Canada.
This is a flexible, remote freelance opportunity designed for native or near-native European Portuguese speakers who want to contribute to cutting-edge AI training projects. You will take part in building high-quality speech and text datasets that help improve the performance of next-generation language technologies. The work is task-based, allowing you to choose what you contribute—from voice recordings to transcription and text review. You will be part of a global distributed workforce supporting AI development through real human language input. The role is highly flexible, making it suitable for individuals looking for part-time, autonomous online work. It requires attention to detail and consistency to ensure data quality across all tasks. This is an opportunity to directly support the improvement of AI systems used in real-world applications.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will contribute to AI training datasets by performing a variety of language-based tasks that support model development and refinement.
- Record short spoken sentences clearly using your natural European Portuguese voice
- Transcribe audio clips accurately into written text
- Review and correct text or audio outputs to ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency
- Support data cleaning and organization tasks for AI training datasets
- Optionally participate in peer review tasks to validate work completed by other contributors
- Follow project guidelines to ensure high-quality and standardized outputs
- Work independently while selecting tasks based on availability and preference
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a fluent European Portuguese speaker with strong attention to detail and comfort working in a remote, task-based environment.
- Native or near-native proficiency in European Portuguese
- Fluent English communication skills
- Prior experience in transcription, audio recording, annotation, or similar language-based work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Access to a quiet environment suitable for high-quality audio recording
- Basic technical comfort with online tools and remote platforms
- Reliability and consistency in delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage time flexibly
