Ambipar Response is a multidisciplinary firm that provides a wide range of environmental, emergency response, industrial services, marine services, and training. Opportunity exists for you to grow and learn more about these industries within Ambipar.
Ambipar Response is currently seeking Senior Environmental Technologists based out of Calgary, Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Fort St John and/or Grande Prairie.
WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF:
Execute scopes of work and cost estimates under the supervision of the Project Manager
Ensure project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner
Supervise small and large-scale reclamation and remediation projects
Assist with execution of Phase 2 and Phase 3 site assessments
Complete detailed site assessments and groundwater monitoring
Coordinate and supervise tree planting
Manage and meet all client and regulatory ground disturbance requirements
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives and SOP’s
Implement internal and client safety programs
Remain current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates, provide updated information as it becomes available to staff
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Reclamation or similar discipline
Professional designation or articling to obtain is considered an asset
2-5 years’ relevant field experience
Knowledge of the water act and experience with wetland classification is an asset
Understanding of the upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in AB & BC
Experience with reclamation and remediation on private and public lands
Strong soil characterization and vegetation identification skills
Good physical health with willingness to travel and work in the field for extended periods
Valid driver’s license
AIA and or SIA Member (preferred but not necessary).
Must have access to 4X4 vehicle with a valid class 5 license
