GSL, a McGill St Laurent company-Since 2008, McGill St Laurent has coordinated physical commodity supply chains and offered customized financial solutions to customers in the wood, agriculture and energy sectors.

In 2022, we founded a new Carbon Credit Trading Desk to support companies in decarbonizing their operations. We participate in the development of carbon projects, aggregate high-quality carbon credits and offer efficient, customized climate solutions to our customers.The team is expanding, and we are looking for a high-performing individual to contribute to establishing the desk, trade carbon credits and develop over-the-counter carbon solutions for clients.

As a Carbon Credits Sales Representative, you will:

Work alongside Carbon Analyst and Commercial Lead to develop the Carbon Desk’s offering and brand

Find your own prospects and through extensive cold calling, develop a sales pipeline

Develop carbon solutions for prospective clients

Prepare pitch material and work with the Carbon Analyst to close and execute deals

Work with the team to develop offtake partnerships with carbon project developers

Monitor market trends to capitalize on opportunities

Provide great customer service

Profiles we are looking for:

Due to the territories covered by the job, you must be fluent in English, both written and oral (Essential)You are bilingual (French/English) and/or additional languages (Asset).You have minimum 5 years of successful track record in Trading, Sales and Business development. You are a bachelor’s/ Master's graduate, preferably in a STEM or Business field. You pay exceptional attention to detail and have an acute sense of ownership. You have an effective communication & negotiation skills. You have previous experience in the carbon field (Asset)
