The Jewish Security Network is hiring a Research Manager to lead the research function within the Integrated Security Operations Centre (ISOC). The Research Manager is responsible for directing the research operating system, owning the Priority Intelligence Requirements cycle, opening and closing investigations, assigning analyst workload, maintaining product quality, and ensuring that research output supports timely operational awareness and decision-making. Reporting to the ISOC Director, the Research Manager will work closely with members of the research and SOC teams, partner organizations, and law enforcement-facing stakeholders to ensure the research function operates as a disciplined, accountable, and mission-driven system.
Responsibilities:
Manage all elements of the research team, including team members, workflows, threat assessments and other critical aspects
Own and manage the Priority Intelligence Requirements cycle, including monthly review, translation into tasking, and alignment with organizational needs
Open and close investigations, assign workload, and balance reactive demand against planned research production
Support the production, review and approval of outgoing products for analytic quality, confidence language, evidentiary standard, and dissemination suitability
Maintain the production calendar for quarterly overviews, event assessments, strategic reports, and other recurring research products
Coordinate daily prioritization based on SOC briefings, emerging threats, investigations, and partner inputs
Supervise and mentor research personnel, including analysts, collection personnel, and data stewardship staff
Ensure research outputs are coherent, defensible, timely, and aligned with operational requirements
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, partner organizations, and relevant counterparts
Lead monthly calibration with the SOC to review escalation decisions, classification consistency, and information-sharing quality
Ensure research practices comply with privacy, documentation, and data stewardship standards
We are seeking someone who possesses the following skillset:
Minimum 5 years of experience leading intelligence, investigations, security research, risk, trust and safety, and/or OSINT-focused teams
Minimum 3 years of management experience with a small team
Strong analytical judgment and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-moving threat environment
Experience reviewing and quality-controlling investigative or intelligence products
Familiarity with OSINT methods, online threat monitoring, structured research workflows, and evidence handling
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce and approve clear operational reporting
Strong people-management skills, including tasking, mentoring, coaching, and accountability
Sound discretion and comfort handling sensitive information, personal information, and confidential operational material
Ability to brief senior stakeholders, community leadership, and external partners clearly and credibly
Familiarity with law enforcement referral standards, threat assessment practices, or intelligence dissemination is an asset
Familiarity with privacy, records management, or data governance obligations is a strong plus
Fluent in English (writing, reading, and speaking)
