This position has a term length of 1 year with the possibility of extension for 1 more year.

Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.

The Research Project Coordinator will work under the direction of the associated Principal Investigator(s) to manage and coordinate activities the day-to-day research activities for multiple studies, supported by the operational lead. Oversight of all research activities will come from the Collaborative Orthopaedic Research lead.



Responsibilities
  • Assist development and maintenance of ethics submissions/approvals
  • Maintain study records (paper and e-files) in accordance with Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and the Health Information Act
  • Assist study recruitment, obtaining informed consent, complete accurate data collection, entry and monitoring
  • Assist development of research protocols and grant submissions
  • Assist data analysis


Qualifications
  • Health profession background or health research experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; Masters of Science with 2-5 years of research training/experience preferred
  • Proven experience with literature reviews and proven ability to perform in-depth searches on various databases, websites, etc. to support project activities. 
  • Working knowledge of the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and the Health Information Act (HAI) is required 
  • Proven intermediate-user level knowledge, skills, and abilities working effectively / efficiently with a wide variety of computer technologies and programs including: MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); Google Applications, Google suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Forms); Zoom/video conferencing, website maintenance, PeopleSoft (Campus Solutions), knowledge of Adobe
