Job Description - Resident Caretaker

Position: Resident Caretaker (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: Victoria, BC
Start Date: ASAP

The Role
We are looking for a full-time Resident Caretaker to service a two-building, 90-unit residential complex in Victoria, BC.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all administrative work involved in the operation of the Property according to procedures and set out by instruction from the Property Manager.
  • Work cooperatively alongside other onsite staff to ensure the Property maintains a high standard of professionalism.
  • Handle Move in/ Move out and bank deposits processes.
  • Arranging and organizing vendors and working with maintenance.
  • Cleaning the common areasand assisting with minor repairsin the common areas and inside the units.
  • Basic landscaping – lawn mowing, weeding, etc.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for all work and/or supplies being undertaken at the building and supervise contractors.
  • Prepare detailed Incident Reports related to accidents, altercations, and damage to the property and/or other applicable incidents.
  • Deal with emergencies on a 24hr basis during the workweek.
  • Schedule and supervise move in and outs of the building.
  • Maintain accurate files and records in accordance with the property.
  • Other duties as required from time to time, available for call outs.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of caretakingand/or building maintenance experience
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonalskills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizationalskills
  • Computer proficient and the abilityto learn and adapt to new software
  • Able to take direction and work well with minimal supervision
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle preferred

Please note: to be considered for this position you must be available to work on-site in Victoria. This is not a remote position.
