Job Description - Resident Facilities Manager

On behalf of our client, Parsons Green Developments Incorporated, we are looking for a Resident Facilities Manager to join their growing team.

The Opportunity:

This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a hands-on, self-motivated individual with maintenance experience. Reporting to the Resident Services Manager, the Resident Facilities Manager will oversee day-to-day maintenance and repairs, vendor and contractor coordination, grounds upkeep, building security, and emergency readiness. The role offers autonomy, physical activity, and the chance to be a vital part of a supportive residential team.

The Ideal Candidate:

You are a reliable, detail-oriented facilities professional who brings previous experience in property maintenance, building systems, or custodial work. You’re proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining a clean, secure, and efficient living environment. Comfortable working independently and physically capable of meeting job demands, you’re also a strong communicator with a tenant-first mindset.

 Responsibilities:


  •  Perform preventative maintenance and regular inspections of building systems and grounds

  • Troubleshoot and repair basic systems, including lighting, HVAC/boilers, and emergency lighting

  • Oversee vendor and contractor work, ensuring quality and value

  • Respond to maintenance concerns, emergencies, and perform on-call duties as scheduled

  • Conduct suite turnovers including repairs, painting, and appliance checks

  • Manage garbage rooms, including cleanliness, pest control, and waste collection

  • Maintain mechanical rooms and service areas in clean and safe condition

  • Enforce on-site policies and support building security and fire safety procedures

  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of property, checking all common areas and mechanical systems

  • Perform snow and ice removal and supervise seasonal contractors

  • Act as fire marshal and assist with emergency building evacuations when needed

  • Support the Resident Services Manager with inspections, fire response, and vendor oversight



Requirements

  • Previous experience in property/residential management, maintenance, or custodial roles

  • Familiarity with building mechanical systems and IT-based monitoring tools

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build tenant rapport

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks effectively

  • High attention to detail and a strong work ethic

  • Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy objects as needed



Benefits

  • $30,000 - $35,000 per annum

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • Includes 2 bedroom apartment + up to $85/month for power

  • On-call availability required as part of rotation schedule

  • Paid vacation

  • In-office role based at property site
