Resident Manager, Property Management (Squamish, BC)

This role is a live‑in position and requires residency in an on‑site, designated one‑bedroom suite. This arrangement supports the hands‑on, responsive nature of the role and helps ensure seamless support for our household/team needs. 

You will 

• Work directly with a Property Manager to ensure preventative maintenance is completed and supervise contractors/trades who are on site   

• Complete minor buildings repairs such as painting, basic plumbing and carpentry, minor electrical repairs, and assist janitorial duties as require
  

• Conduct standard move in and move out inspections as require
  

• Deliver an exemplary level of customer service by responding professionally and promptly to resident inquiries, greeting tenants, visitors and contractors  

• Complete daily inspections of the property’s common areas, building exterior and any amenities to ensure all are maintained to a high standard and move in and move out inspections as require
  

• Conduct inspections of all utility and storage rooms, and ensure cleanliness  

• Complete monthly, quarterly and annual building reports through Yardi  

• Oversee elevator bookings and ensure security is maintained during moves    

• Supervise the use of any amenity areas   

• Respond to and coordinate tenant repairs   

• Answer the building phone line on a rotation to resolve tenant concerns, and be on call for property emergencies  

• Program security fobs as  and ensure the property is safe and secure at all time
  

• Ensure the Property Management Office and property interior and exterior are  clean and tidy in conjunction with others. 

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including the RTA, Fire Codes, WCB, OH&S   

• Attend staff meetings   

• Assist if needed at our other multi-family properties in the Metro Vancouver area.   

• Show suites to prospective tenants, evaluating candidates and providing feedback to the property manager.  

• Other duties as assigned. 

You have 

• Minimum of 2 years residential maintenance experience   

• Understanding of BC Residential Tenancy Act and its application an asset  

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written   

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills   

• Willingness to learn and the ability to work without direction – a self-starter   

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and experience with Yardi Rent Café and Maintenance IQ is an asset.

Pay range: $55,000 - $60,000, per annum, depending on experience. As this is a live‑in position, a brand new, one‑bedroom suite will be provided.
