Residential Landscape Construction Lead Hand

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Residential Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on position working on residential landscape construction projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and is eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project foreman with layout, grades, and project planning on site


• Install hardscape elements (pavers, retaining walls, armour stone etc.)


• Install with softscape installation (trees, shrubs, sod, soil, mulch)


• Operate hand and power tools safely


• Load and unload materials and equipment


• Follow project plans and supervisor instructions, provide direction to other team members effectively


• Maintain a clean and safe job site, delegate tasks as needed to other team members and ensure success


• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous landscape or construction experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)


• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
  


• Strong work ethic and punctuality


• Valid G driver’s license (preferred), AR license an asset.


• Ability to work well within a team environment

Schedule

• Monday to Friday


• Occasional weekend or evening depending on time of year and weather.


• 10 hour days typical during peak season
