Job Summary

Job Duties

• Washes all linens and stain treats to ensure the cleanliness of linens is up to Sun’s standards. (Essential)


• Loads washers to coincide with cycle rotations. (Essential)


• Takes wet, clean items and loads into dryers. (Essential)


• Sorts and folds clean linens and ensures linens stay organized. (Essential)


• Maintains inventory of all detergent supplies and communicates needs to management. (Essential)


• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager. (Essential)


• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.


• Ensures the facility remains clean and free from safety hazards.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)


• 6 months in experience working in a laundry facility (Preferred)


• Demonstrated knowledge of general laundry procedures


• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance


• Knowledge of safety measures when using various laundry and cleaning chemicals


• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds


• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
