Job Description - Restaurant & Pub Supervisor

Are you a hospitality enthusiast with a flair for the food and beverage industry? If you are seeking an exciting role in a vibrant workplace, look no further than Regina's coolest independent hotel (hint- it's us)! We’re on the hunt for a Restaurant & Pub Supervisor to join our dynamic Crew.


 


Your mission? Step in to assist in overseeing the DISH Restaurant, Knotted Thistle Pub, and Room Service operations, and elevate our food & beverage experiences to new heights.


 


Your primary accountabilities include:



  • Oversee scheduling, including approving shift swaps.

  • Review payroll hours for accuracy.

  • Work hands-on with servers, assisting with hosting, food running, coffee prep, answering the phone and guest service tasks.

  • Actively support floor operations without taking tables, stepping in for room service when needed.

  • Manage liquor and supply inventory and ordering.

  • Coordinate and execute reservations and special event arrangements.

  • Mentor and assess new trainees through floor shadowing and skills evaluations.

  • Address escalated service recovery situations promptly during shifts.

  • Lead floor operations for both DISH and Knotted Thistle, ensuring smooth service and team support.


 


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry.

  • Strong hands-on approach and willingness to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the team.

  • Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for engaging with the public.

  • Ability to resolve customer issues with professionalism and empathy.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Primarily available for day shifts, with flexibility to work evenings for large reservations or private events.

  • You have a Serve It Right Certificate or are willing to obtain it.
