Sales Analyst

Job Overview

The Sales Analyst is responsible for analyzing new product initiatives, pricing, sales reports, assisting with sample requests, as well as analyzing day to day activities to support the sales department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and distribution of sales reports for teams
• Presentations, Analysis, Pricing Variances Monthly/Quarterly report for Management/Board meetings and Gross Profit reports and analysis for the VP of Sales as required
• Complete day to day reports as needed from customers to provide updated data and information
• Work closely with Sales teams to ensure all marketing materials & pricing to master data team are available and that customer specific price lists reflect the current product status with accuracy
• Document all new product prices, price changes, and sku rationalization
• Administration of major accounts deal sheets, and tracking of promotions and Promotional spending;
• Audit reports looking for pricing discrepancies and missing pricing information

Recipe for Success:

• Completion of college diploma in Business Administration, Sales or another related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales Analyst role or related analytical work
• Prior experience with Power BI and/or Anaplan preferred (or similar softwares)
• Previous experience in an analyst role within Manufacturing is an asset
• Strong/proficient in MS office programs (Advance MS Excel proficiency is an asset)
• Proactive in identifying opportunities and providing recommendations to grow business - with regular review of both internal and market data to identify growth opportunities
• Willingness to take on new and more challenging projects
• Well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
