Job Description - Sales & Events Coordinator

Activities:


 Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, email or fax in a courteous, efficient and professional manner.
 Process all direct and third party reservations in a timely and efficient manner
 Ensure all rates and packages are maintained in the various reservations systems
 Monitor web sites to ensure content, including images and descriptions are correct and up to date.
 Ensure all Guest Services Agents are up-to-date on all local information, hotel services and the current packages, promotions and procedures.
 Continuous review/auditing of the hotel systems on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure accuracy of reservations data. These quality checks include but not limited to: Inventory/Availability, reservation accuracy for transient, group and FIT’s.
 Monitor reservation inventory and block allotments to ensure maximum profit is achieved
 Conduct competitor pricing analysis to ensure best position is achieved with competitive set.
 Process deposits as required for individual and group reservations.
 Analyze social media data metrics and adjust strategies.
 Maintain all hotel social media platforms, ensuring content is accurate. Proactively promote events all hotel services.
 Assist with coordinating and implementing special sales promotions and packages
 Assist with group bookings as required by entering rooming lists, managing blocks and preparing group files.
 Empowered as required to meet and/or exceed the expectations of internal and external guests
 Assist the Sales Manager & Director of Sales as required to complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks.


Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management


COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:




  • Education/ Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.  Two years’ experience in sales and supervisory experience desirable.  Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
