Sales & Marketing Coordinator Western Canada (AB/SK/MB) | Based in Calgary, AB
Charton Hobbs is Canada’s largest privately held wine and spirits importer, representing an outstanding portfolio of globally recognized brands. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales & Marketing Coordinator to support our Western Canada team.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, Alberta, this role is based in Calgary and supports sales and marketing initiatives across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The successful candidate is collaborative, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
Support the Sales Team through the preparation of weekly reports, including sales performance, inventory updates, and brand insights
Maintain and update portfolio price lists and sales tools to ensure accuracy and consistency
Coordinate marketing collateral and materials for field sales teams
Assist in the execution of retail programs, including LTO grids and listing applications across AB, SK, and MB
Support trade and consumer events, including coordination, setup, and execution
Compile market and category data to support supplier presentations and business reviews
Manage product sample ordering and distribution, including coordination with internal teams and external partners
Oversee product allocations through Liquor Connect and assist with POS inventory management
Marketing & Design Support
Develop and coordinate advertising placements (e.g., Culinaire, Liquor Connect)
Create sales and marketing materials including LTO sell sheets, POS, and promotional tools
Prepare and distribute regular sales communications, including LTO updates and internal newsletters
Design presentations and templates for sales meetings and supplier interactions
Coordinate supplier visits, including travel logistics and event planning
Support social media content creation and execution
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Interest in or knowledge of the wine and spirits industry; WSET or equivalent is an asset
Valid ProServe certification, or willingness to obtain
Compensation
A competitive compensation package, including base salary and performance-based incentive bonus, will be offered commensurate with experience.
