Job Description - Sales Representative Forestry- Balmoral

SALES REPRESENTATIVE – Forestry Equipment – BALMORAL BRANCH


Position based out of our Balmoral, NB, Head Office, with the flexibility to reside anywhere within the Eastern Quebec territory. Regular presence at the branch is required.

 The Opportunity


 Due to continued growth, ALPA Equipment Ltd. is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and results-driven individual to join our sales team. This is more than just a sales role — it’s an opportunity to take ownership of a well-established territory, build long-term customer relationships, and represent leading equipment brands with the support of a respected, family-owned Canadian company.


Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling our forestry equipment brands, including Landrich, Ponsse, and Rotobec, within an assigned territory in Eastern Quebec.


Specific Responsibilities:



  •  Maintain relationships with existing customers while prospecting and developing your assigned territory.

  •  Contact & arrange meetings with potential customers via telephone, e-mail, or face-to-face.

  •  Generate leads & identify opportunities for new business within the market.

  •  Negotiate pricing with potential customers and close sales.

  •  Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

  •  Continuous improvement of product knowledge.



  • Invite customers to company-sponsored events.



  •  Attend all industry trade shows and events.

  • Work closely with the accounts receivable department.


 REQUIREMENTS


 Education, experience, and skills required:



  • High School Diploma with relevant experience.

  • Computer skills.

  • Excellent customer relations skills.

  • Ambitious and driven personality.

  • Confident and experienced negotiator.

  • Relevant industry experience.

  • Well organized and self-motivated.

  • Valid driver’s License: clean abstract.

  • 75% travel is required.

  • Ability to work in an environment of changing priorities.

  • Ability to work 40 + hours per week.

  • Bilingual (French/English).
