Sales Representative Forestry -Truro, NS

Due to ongoing growth, ALPA Equipment Ltd. is looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our sales team.

This is more than just a sales role — it’s an opportunity to take ownership of a territory, build strong customer relationships, and represent leading equipment brands within a well-established, family-owned Canadian company.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling our forestry equipment brands, including Landrich, Ponsse, and Rotobec, within an assigned territory.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Manage and grow your assigned territory


• Maintain relationships with existing customers while developing new business


• Prospect, generate leads, and identify new opportunities


• Meet with customers (in person, phone, and email)


• Promote and sell forestry equipment


• Negotiate pricing and close sales


• Build long-term relationships with customers


• Continuously develop product knowledge


• Participate in trade shows and industry events


• Collaborate with internal teams, including accounts receivable

WHAT YOU BRING

• High school diploma with relevant experience


• Strong computer and communication skills


• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities


• Motivated, organized, and results-driven


• Confident in negotiation and closing sales


• Relevant industry experience is an asset


• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract


• Willingness to travel regularly (approx. 75%)


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset
