Duties & Responsibilities
Scaffolding Installation and Maintenance
Erect, modify, inspect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding, work platforms, access structures, stairs, guardrails, and related temporary structures in accordance with applicable standards and manufacturer specifications.
Interpret drawings and site requirements to determine appropriate scaffolding configurations, ensuring structures are properly founded, levelled, braced, secured, tagged, and suitable for intended use.
Maintenance, Operations & Project Support
Provide timely scaffolding support for maintenance, repairs, shutdowns, construction activities, and capital projects, working collaboratively with site teams to develop practical and safe access solutions.
Safely handle, assemble, disassemble, maintain, and store scaffolding materials and equipment while prioritizing work based on safety, production, and operational requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Follow applicable legislation, mine regulations, Company policies, safe work procedures, and site requirements related to scaffolding and working at heights.
Conduct hazard assessments and inspections, identify and report unsafe conditions or deficiencies, participate in site safety initiatives, and stop work where established safety requirements cannot be met.
Education, Experience & Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Recognized scaffolder training, apprenticeship, certification, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant scaffolding experience in mining, construction, heavy industrial, oil and gas, or similar environments preferred.
Previous experience working in a coal mining environment is an asset.
Working at Heights and fall protection training required.
Rigging and hoisting experience and certification is an asset.
First Aid certification is an asset.
Ability to successfully complete required mine-site orientation, safety training, and competency assessments.
Demonstrated ability to work safely in a physically demanding industrial environment and adapt to variable site and weather condition.
Technical Competencies & Skills
Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 7x7 rotation and physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Safely handle, assemble, disassemble, transport, and store scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment while maintaining an organized and serviceable work area.
Follow applicable legislation, mine regulations, Company policies, safe work procedures, and site requirements; conduct hazard assessments and inspections and report or address unsafe conditions.
Wages and Benefits
Hourly Rate: From $55.26, based on experience and qualifications
Bonus Pay: Up to $25,000* extra annually through monthly and quarterly bonuses
