Job Description - Scale Clerk

What we offer! 

  • Starting salary of $19/Hr

  • 6-month contract

  • Schedule: Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 12pm

Job Description

What you’re responsible for:

  • Operating the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials
  • Recording weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, weights, material types, and customer information
  • Verifying the identification and documentation of drivers, carriers, and vehicles while issuing receipts, and processing payments accurately
  • Providing general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining filing systems

Qualifications

To join our team: 

  • You have at least one year of customer service experience
  • You have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • You have proficient computer skills and experience with scale software and Microsoft Office applications
  • You have the ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
  • You have effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You are efficient and reliable
