Position Overview:
The Scale House Operator is responsible for managing all scale operations at our Rosewarne Transfer Station , ensuring accurate vendor and customer transactions, and maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Key Functions & Duties:

• Operate and maintain scales, ensuring accurate weighing of incoming and outgoing materials


• Order and manage office and yard supplies (e.g., gloves, water, oil)


• Handle cash transactions, track quantities, and reconcile cash balances daily


• Make inventory adjustments and support administrative duties as required


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe indoor work environment


• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred


• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with inventory or scrap management systems is an asset


• Experience handling cash and basic accounting practices preferred


• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills


• Positive attitude, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment


• Ability to manage time effectively in a variable-paced work environment
