Accurate Network Services Inc. is on the hunt for a top-notch Security Analyst to join our team!

The person who holds this role is the voice at the end of the line providing awesome (not to mention critical!) customer support. As the core of the Accurate Security Desk, we count on you to create an incredible customer experience by troubleshooting the security issues that arise in a timely and effective manner. This includes advising our clients on the best practices to keep their information secure!

As a Security Analyst at Accurate, you will be working with a small team of techs to support a select group of clients. We use Autotask to track tickets and time worked, and we’ll provide ample training on how the mechanics of the system work.

You will be required to take part in an on-call rotation to respond to client after-hours emergency calls (approximately one week every 18 weeks). This role is primarily based out of the office, however there may be occasional onsite work at our client’s locations.

    • Validate that deployed configurations function as expected and provide feedback for adjustments.

    • Perform regular operational checks to confirm tools are healthy, reporting correctly, and enforcing policy as expected.

    • Identify misconfigurations or anomalies during daily operations and collaborate with the Centralized Services Administrator to correct them.

User Support & Security Awareness Reinforcement

    • Provide practical, responsive support to users regarding security-related inquiries or ticketed issues.

    • Support phishing simulations by assisting with setup, monitoring, and follow-up steps.

    • Reinforce secure behavior during daily interactions, focusing on practical habits

Documentation, Runbook Execution & Process Accuracy

    • Maintain up-to-date records of incidents, configuration changes, security settings, and SOPs/runbooks.

    • Execute established procedures for daily, weekly, and monthly security tasks.

    • Identify procedural gaps encountered during hands-on work and raise them for improvement.

Threat Intelligence Awareness & Continuous Learning

    • Stay aware of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, attacker techniques, and security news.

    • Apply relevant intelligence to daily operational work by adjusting detection focus, prioritizing queue items, or improving response steps.

    • Maintain a commitment to continuous learning through training, certifications, labs, and hands-on experimentation.

    • Share relevant threat updates or learning insights with the team to strengthen collective preparedness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive IT experience supporting in the following areas:

    • Supporting users through remote or deskside IT assistance, with strong troubleshooting ability.

    • Administering and maintaining Windows 10/11 devices, including patching, configuration, and basic endpoint health checks.

    • Working with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD environments (user lifecycle tasks, MFA support, mailbox and access troubleshooting, basic identity/security settings).

    • Understanding essential networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing basics, and firewall fundamentals.

    • Awareness of core cybersecurity principles (threats, vulnerabilities, least privilege, patching importance, configuration baselines).

    • Familiarity with common security-related tools or activities, such as:

      • Antivirus/EDR usage and basic alert interpretation.
