Security Concierge - Toronto

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services. 

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Identifies and clarifies resident's needs , answers questions, gives directions and instructions


• Provide exceptional Customer Service to Clients, Customers, Contractors and Visitors to client’s property.


• Access control, CCTV surveillance, contractor escorts & report writing


• Visitor management, parcel & key management


• Night shift book-keeping (releasing given out packages from system)


• Booking guest suites and other site amenities
  


• Perform routine property patrols of all levels of building, parking areas and perimeter and respond to and Emergencies and Fire Alarms.


• Property inspections, including pool chemical balance testing, property rules & regulations enforcement


• Assist in case of emergency, first aid or any other intervention


• Interact with visitors, customers and the general public


• Detect, challenge and displace unwanted people


• Collect information on complaints or events


• Maintain a positive, productive work environment through teamwork


• Other duties as assigned by the Client, or the Regional Manager

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma


• *MUST* Ontario Security Guard License


• *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate


• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time


• Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. 
  


• Ability to complete frequent patrols


• Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently)


• Excellent customer service and reception skills


• The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential


• Should be available to cover extra shifts when needed


• Condo control experience will be consider as an asset

• Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.00


• Location: 55 Front Street East, Toronto


• Schedule - 2300-0700 Sunday- Thursday (must be able to backfill other shifts when required)


• On-site parking available; accessible by TTC

As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
