Responsibilities

As a key member of a national leading security company, the Security Guard will:

• Apply decision-making and strong communication skills to all duties and responsibilities relating to security and safety
• Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed
• Follow Post Orders for each site
• Undertake site-specific training and follow direction from the Client Service Manager or Supervisor
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicle to ensure security of personnel, buildings, and equipment
• Monitor for safety infractions or hazards and report irregularities
• Respond to emergency situations and contact emergency responders as required
• Offer assistance to anyone in need and maintain professionalism at all times
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and information
• Utilize two-way radio and computer applications effectively
• Demonstrate an active interest in promoting workplace safety
• Motivate, support, and inspire co-workers

• Must live within 1 hour of La Crête, AB
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts
• Availability for a variety of shifts, including overnight and weekends
• Valid Alberta Security License (or ability to obtain one)
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to own vehicle
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities with a professional, friendly demeanor
• Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain detailed site logs
• Able to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency situations
• Discretion when handling confidential information
• Physically capable of walking 18–20 km and climbing stairs
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
• Certification Required: First Aid & CPR Level C

• Competitive hourly wage ($26.01/hour)
