Security Guard - Mississauga

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services. 

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Ensuring access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured


• Intercept traffic coming into the facility and record their information


• Managing gate control


• Locking and Unlocking main gate entrance


• Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients


• Completing daily logs and written reports


• Ability to type 30 words/minute on iPad


• Incident reporting


• Visitor Log Entry for entrants each day


• Prolong standing and sitting required - Vehicle is used as Shack


• Will be stationed outdoor for the shift ( Dress according to weather conditions)
  


• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment


• Maintaining effective communication with other on-site security staff


• Providing assistance to employees, client and visitors


• Other duties as may be required by the client or Site Supervisor
  

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma


• *MUST* Ontario Security Guard License


• *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate


• *MUST* G2 Driver's License (Must be in good standing) 


• Ability to get in and out of the vehicle to intercept traffic

• Shifts: Monday & Tuesday


• Location: 920 East Ave, Mississauga, Ontario
