Location: Victoria, BC
Wage Range: $18.50 – $22.00/hour (site dependent)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Overview

We are currently hiring dependable and professional Security Officers for a variety of sites across Victoria, BC, including mobile patrol, bike patrol, retail, events, airport security, and supportive housing.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong communication and customer service skills who thrive in dynamic environments. Some sites may require walking or standing for long periods and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and the public
• Conduct routine foot or mobile patrols to ensure property, personnel, and equipment safety
• Monitor and report security breaches, hazards, or unusual activity
• Write clear and accurate daily activity, incident, and emergency reports
• Respond quickly to emergencies and provide first aid assistance when required
• Communicate effectively via two-way radio and digital reporting tools
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and trespass enforcement

Must Have:

• Are you legally eligible to work in Canada?
• Do you currently hold a valid Basic Security Training (BST) license?
• Are you physically able to walk or stand for prolonged periods?
• Do you have strong English communication skills, both written and verbal?

Nice to Have:

• Do you have at least 6 months of experience in security or customer service?
• Do you hold a valid OFA Level 1 (or higher) certificate?
• Do you have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License?
• Do you have, or are you eligible to obtain, a Transportation Security Clearance (TSC)?
