Job duties & Responsibilities:
Security 80%

• Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgement.
• Secure premises (building and security gates) by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities, violation of policy and procedures, and report trespassers to Security Team Leader.
• Control traffic by directing drivers.
• Control the traffic during the peak hours while employee arriving and leaving the site.
• Maintain proper log for truck washing by third party contractor during weekends.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in an orderly manner.
• Direct visitors to reception and log their entry to the premises as necessary.
• Monitor daily fleet fueling and submit receipts to Shipping office every morning.
• Complete daily logs, activities and reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Develop thorough site knowledge and maintain professional relationships.
• Respond to emergency calls for assistance and alarms.
• Coordinate & maintain garbage hauling data.
• Coordinate & maintain hauling data for all recycle materials taken out from the warehouse.
• Prepare production facility by switching on the air compressor, wrapping machine and light in the morning half hour before the production starts.
• Ensure that all lights and equipment’s are properly shutdown at the end of each shift.
• Clear snow front entrance stairs, emergency exits & loading areas in the winter.
• Ensure availability of hand sanitizer and disinfectant at all locations during night rounds and restock as required.
• Issue janitorial supplies for day & evening staff and maintain records.
• Other duties as required.

Health & Safety 20%

• Ensure the safety of all staff by using de-escalation techniques.
• Demonstrate awareness of proper warehouse and production safety procedures.
• Follow all loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the continuous improvement team, and always look for improved ways of performing your duties. 
• Identify and demonstrate use of personal protective equipment.  
• Keep work area free from clutter, recycling waste, and removing all dust daily.
• Report all activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment.  

Working Conditions

• Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 lbs to 50 lbs.
• Work in a production facility. 
• Patrol premises – navigate ladders, ramps, stairs and run-on occasion.
• Standing for extended periods. 
• Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis.
• Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery.
• Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise.
• Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands – able to work day &/or evening shift.
• Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
