Security Person

Piwapan Women’s Centre is accepting applications to fill the following Security Person based out of the Kamamakos Second Stage Housing, Piwapan Wellness Centre, La Ronge, SK.  This position if for a Three-Month term.

SECURITY PERSON

Job purpose:  

The Security Person will monitor and secure the Kamamakos Second Stage Building in La Ronge, SK.  The Security Person will report to the Housing Coordinator.

Core Competencies:

Security will perform a variety of skills, including communication, observation, physical fitness, and problem-solving

Job Specific Requirements:

·         The successful candidate will possess attention to detail, good communication skills.

·         The successful candidate will have security guard experience or be willing to learn the skills required as instructed by the Head of Security or General Manager.

·         A Vulnerable Record Check will be requested.

·         This position requires the ability to work; day, evening, night, weekend shifts.

Assets:

·         Physical requirements are the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Minimum Certificate II in Security Operations


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Willingness and ability to work to a flexible roster, 7 days a week


• Own transportation


• Current first aid certificate


• Valid Driver’s License
