Job Description - Senior Associate, Supply Chain

The Client is an exciting and agile generic pharmaceutical company excited to announce an opening for a senior associate, supply chain

The Senior associate, supply chain is responsible for handling Supply chain planning, Logistics & Warehousing activities for assigned pharmaceutical products in the portfolio. The ongoing goal of this position is to continuously improve availability and simultaneously optimize inventory by improving forecast accuracy and fostering relationship with manufacturing plants, suppliers, and logistics service providers

Job Specifications

  • Generates short-term & long-term demand forecast based on industry trends and demand patterns utilizing forecasting models & inputs like sales forecast, historical demand, and market intelligence
  • Develops and maintains monthly operational forecast down to SKU level and report on Base, Incremental, Pipeline and other consumption drivers. Responsible to deliver against agreed monthly forecast accuracy targets.
  • Ensures timely MRP run, factbook creation and generation of purchase orders.
  • Responsible for developing tools and reports that ensure quality and effectiveness of data in ERP system
  • Responsible to work closely with logistics service providers for air/sea shipments. Responsible to keep logistics expenses under budget and deliver on KPIs
  • Responsible to maintain inventory for all products in distribution centers as per inventory policy
  • Proactively communicate solutions to optimize inventory position against inventory policies. Works with sales team & key account management to manage inventory levels based on trends and supports team to identify inventory risk, including shortages and aged inventory.
  • Acts as point of contact for any inventory, COGS & supply related queries with cross functional teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that our products meet regulatory and GS1 guidelines for labels.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business; 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellence in MS Office with advance Excels skills. Must be able to build and maintain complex excel tables/files. Strong analytical skills grounded in understanding of SCM planning, logistics and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to advocate for supply chain/demand needs across the broader CFT team.

Ability to achieve key stakeholder buy-in across the organization; Industry knowledge is an asset
