Senior Backend Developer (Node.js Developer)

Job Summary:

As a Senior Node.js Developer you will be instrumental in driving our backend development with a focus on Node.js and Express.js frameworks. This 100% hands-on role requires a seasoned professional capable of splitting their time equally between coding and meticulous code reviews. You will be expected to uphold and enforce coding standards across both UI components and backend services, providing guidance and corrective strategies for pull requests that do not meet our rigorous quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js in a Mongo DB environment.

· Spend 50% of the time on hands-on development, writing high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

· Dedicate the other 50% to conducting comprehensive code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding best practices.

· Review all pull requests (PRs) thoroughly, ensuring that code conforms to the highest standards.

· Guide developers by providing detailed and constructive feedback on PRs and define corrective actions when necessary.

· Lead the potential implementation of distributed caching solutions, such as Redis, to optimize system performance.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

· Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

· Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies, and advocate for the adoption of new tools and practices where appropriate.

Qualifications:

· At least 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies.

· Proven expertise in Node.js and Express.js frameworks.

· In-depth knowledge of MongoDB and experience with database design and management.

· Experience with implementing distributed caching mechanisms, Redis preferred.

· A solid understanding of best practices in code reviews and PR analysis.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $54,216.57-$139,691.09 per year
