Senior Designer and Drafter, Water/ Wastewater

Tritech is a leader in the water infrastructure industry in Western Canada. We have an immediate requirement for a creative, driven and detail oriented Senior Designer and Drafter to join our Langley team.

Tritech designs and builds water and wastewater treatment plants and has the unique ability to complete the majority of project work in-house, with the resources and capacity to integrate multiple disciplines including, civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering.

As Senior Designer and Drafter you will be responsible for detailing, drafting, reviewing and checking the design and drawings of other professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce detailed drawings for construction or fabrication from consultant designs or drawings


• Detailed review of consultant and internal drawings for errors and emissions


• Challenge designs of other professionals and devise innovative, cost saving alternatives


• Multidisciplinary cross checks - between civil, structural, process, building mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.


• Production of detailed shop drawings for fabrication including BOM


• Manage and coordinate work with other technical and field staff


• Submit, organize and maintain project documentation


• Complete site inspections, prepare as built drawings


• Provide a safe work environment through continuous training and development


• Operate with honesty, integrity and respect


• Provide mentorship to junior staff

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ Years of experience in water infrastructure or industrial engineering and construction


• 5+ years of CAD experience (Revit, AutoCAD 3D & 2D)


• Experience detailing from concept to fabrication/construction


• In depth knowledge of standards and building codes


• Working knowledge of civil, structural, process, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation and controls disciplines


• Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal


• Highly organized and motivated to carry out a variety of duties


• Highly detail oriented, strives for perfection


• Self Driven


• Enjoys fast paced environment, willing to push self and others to meet schedules and quality
