What's the role?

We're hiring a Senior Estimator to support high‑value projects across our Workforce Accommodations, Forestry & Energy Services, and Integrated Facilities Management business units. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, analytical environment and want to make a meaningful impact, this position plays a key role in developing accurate, timely, and competitive full‑cost estimates for projects that collectively exceed $1B in annual volume.

What you'll do

Estimating accuracy is essential to our success — and the Sr. Estimator directly supports our ability to win new business, mitigate financial risk, and deliver strong results for our clients and partners.

Project Estimating

  • Collaborate with the estimating team to define bid strategies for each opportunity.
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre‑bid meetings to determine scope and requirements.
  • Coordinate with Sales to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, risk, escalation, and contingency.
  • Coordinate with Indigenous Relations to ensure partnership requirements and associated costs are built into estimates.
  • Work with Operations and the Director of Estimating to review and approve cost estimates.
  • Review estimate details for completeness and accuracy.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support the development and refinement of cost‑estimate models to streamline the bid process.
  • Conduct feasibility and cost analyses on alternative methods or materials.
  • Complete post‑bid reviews and communicate lessons learned.
  • Produce and analyze monthly job‑cost reports to compare projected versus actual performance and support process improvements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain alignment with Sales and the Proposal team.
  • Understand and follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients as required.
  • Assist with materials studies, method evaluations, and cost recommendations.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in Workforce Accommodations, Facilities Management, or commercial construction estimating (preferred).
  • Technical training in construction or an equivalent combination of training and estimating experience.
  • Relevant post‑secondary education (preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • A collaborative, communicative approach with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Some flexibility required as there may be occasional evening or weekend work depending on project timelines.

Additional Information

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Be part of an industry that's more important than ever!
  • Award winning safety culture.
  • A flexible hybrid work model.
  • Supportive team environment with room to grow together.
  • Employee Referral Program.
  • We are growing!
  • Certified as a Great Place to Work 2025-2026!
