Senior Financial Analyst (2026-177-CS)

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries and related tasks.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements—monthly, quarterly, and annually—to support informed decision-making.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheets and bank accounts to maintain financial integrity and transparency.
• Develop and update schedules for reserves and provisions, aligning with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across all reporting activities.
• Support audits by creating schedules, providing samples, and responding to control inquiries in a timely manner.
• Manage tenant payment processes and maintain accurate ledgers using housing software tools.
• Create clear, insightful financial reports and presentations for leadership and board members, highlighting trends and recommendations.
• Champion process improvements in reporting and procurement to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and impact.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting by delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a positive work environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA designation preferred, or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial reporting, audit (internal or external), or professional services.
• Proficient in MS Excel, including financial and data functions, with the ability to analyze and present complex information clearly.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial standards, and regulatory compliance, with a commitment to accuracy and transparency.
• Hands-on experience with financial analysis tools and accounting software, and a willingness to learn new technologies to improve efficiency.

• Communicate effectively and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, building strong relationships to achieve shared goals.
• Bring a detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Think strategically and analytically, transforming financial data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making.

• Apply a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial standards, including experience with Not-for-Profit accounting standards (an asset), while ensuring regulatory compliance.
