This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Creative Design based in Canada.
This role is a senior creative leadership position responsible for defining and elevating the visual identity of a large-scale digital ecosystem spanning web, mobile, and other customer-facing platforms. You will shape the look, feel, and consistency of digital experiences, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand presence across all touchpoints. Acting as both a creative leader and hands-on design authority, you will translate strategic direction into compelling, user-centered design solutions. The position requires close collaboration with product, engineering, marketing, and content teams to ensure seamless integration of design into the development lifecycle. You will also lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering innovation and maintaining high standards of craft. In addition, you will use data and user insights to continuously refine and improve digital experiences. This is a high-impact role where design leadership directly influences user experience and business outcomes.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will define and lead the creative direction of digital experiences while ensuring design excellence across all platforms.
- Define, evolve, and maintain a cohesive digital design system and visual identity across web, mobile, and other digital touchpoints.
- Translate digital strategy into high-quality, user-centered design solutions that enhance engagement and usability.
- Lead creative execution and act as the guardian of design quality, consistency, and brand integrity.
- Mentor and inspire a team of designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and content teams to integrate design into agile delivery processes.
- Leverage user research, data insights, and usability testing to iterate and improve digital experiences.
- Oversee external creative agencies and freelancers to ensure alignment with internal standards and delivery expectations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines strong design leadership experience with deep expertise in UX/UI and digital product ecosystems.
- 8+ years of experience in digital design, including at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design, responsive web, mobile applications, and complex digital systems.
- Proven experience building and scaling design systems across large or multi-platform environments.
- Strong understanding of design-to-development workflows, including familiarity with front-end concepts (HTML/CSS/JS).
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma and similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
- User-centric mindset with experience leveraging data, feedback, and usability testing to improve design outcomes.
