Job Description - Senior Manager, Field Sales -Independent Channel

  • Develop and implement account strategies that align with the company's overall objectives, taking into consideration market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, communications, sales operations, finance, and Customer Care to ensure effective communication, coordination, and execution of account-related activities.
  • Address complex customer concerns in a timely and professional manner, working closely with relevant departments to find appropriate solutions where support is required.
  • Monitor account performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to assess account health, identify areas for improvement, and make informed business decisions.
  • Willing to conduct customer visits greater GTA area - 20%
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitors' activities to proactively identify opportunities and risks within the customer accounts.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members and manage direct reports.
  • Build frameworks and tools to support the independent and emerging business segment.
  • Lead external and internal customer communications.
  • Proactively identify and communicate customers' strategic objectives.
  • Build relationships with top customers through field visits.
  • Review databases to identify trends and issues related to program performance.
  • Ensure quality standards in project deliverables and client interactions.
  • Provide professional presentations and regular account activity reports.
  • Support the development and management of existing established accounts.
  • Leverage CRM tools and SF to drive process improvements.

Section B – Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Master’s degree an asset.
  • 5 years + Proven experience in account management, preferably in the pharmaceutical supply chain distribution industry.
  • 3 years leadership experience on a sales team
  • Strong understanding of independent and corporate account management, with a track record of successfully managing large and diverse customer portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools, an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive and strategic approach to account management
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
