Make an impact with our Indigenous Services team as Senior Manager, Management Consulting. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups and organizations across Canada and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of consulting engagements for Indigenous governments and Indigenous owned enterprises
  • Execute business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, financial analyses and other management consulting projects
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other deliverables
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, or another related field
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics; certification in project management an asset
  • 8 to 9 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous communities
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills
  • Flexibility to travel, as necessary
