The Senior Painter Balancing works under the supervision of the lead hand or supervisor. He performs a variety of tasks related to painting and balancing panels in the illuminated display panels department.
As a Senior Painter Balancing, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
Masks parts according to specifications or drawings. Prepares paints, lacquers by adding thinners or colorants using syringe, dipstick, etc., and according to detailed instructions. Sprays a limited variety of paints, lacquers, etc., exercising judgment to achieve high quality finishes and required opacity. Places parts in the oven according to pre-determined firing time and temperature. Prepares set-up to measure light intensity by adjusting power supply to appropriate voltage as per drawing. Check the amount of light passing through the panels using the electronic photometer. Prepares set-up of computerized light intensity measurement equipment, determining minimum and maximum limits to meet light intensity requirements. Performs touch-ups by sanding, filling or painting. Ensures the good condition of all spraying and other equipment. Applies the necessary safety standards and good maintenance practices. May give work instructions to one or two lower-level employees. Performs any other related duties as assigned. To join our team, you must hold:
Diploma of Vocational Studies in Painting for the Aeronautical or Automotive Industries or equivalent or AEP in Industrial Painting combined with (18) months of experience; Minimum of six (6) months' previous experience in related work.
