Health Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada) is a pan-Canadian network of member organizations that either hold linkable health and health-related data for entire populations and/or have mandates and roles relating directly to access or use of those data. Introduction:
The Senior Project Manager, Partnerships – HDRN will be responsible for managing complex partnership development projects with a multitude of pan-Canadian organizations under the direction of the Director, Partnerships – HDRN. The Senior Project Manager, Partnerships – HDRN will provide leadership by contributing to HDRN Canada and ICES business opportunities and applying project management best practices, including defining scope to discussions in a complex data environment, project risk management, timelines, creating opportunities for multi-regional research and will lead projects and subject matter experts toward successful long-term partnerships, as required. The Senior Project Manager, Partnerships – HDRN will collaboratively contribute to developing and operationalizing an HDRN Canada Partnerships Framework, including processes and tools for general use within the Partnerships - HDRN department, aligned with HDRN Canada and ICES Strategic goals, mission, vision and values.
Responsibilities of the position include, but may not be limited to:
1. Play a key role in translating the HDRN Canada and ICES Strategic Plan into action to expand the HDRN Canada and ICES Data Repository by managing, leading and supporting new business relating to the development of data-related partnerships and research, including large complex partnership projects with a variety of interest holders, that span organizations and geographies;
2. Manage all phases of the project life cycle in collaboration with and under guidance of the Director, Partnerships – HDRN, ICES Scientists, and HDRN Canada interest holders using project management best practices;
3. Support the needs and requirements of partners, as they relate to HDRN Canada and ICES Strategic Plan and partnership agreements;
4. Core activities may include:
5. Develop and manage project communications including working with ICES’ Communications Department, as required;
6. Collaboratively contribute to recruitment and general orientation/mentoring of new members of the role group or other project support staff as required;
7. Contribute to Partnerships – HDRN department development and ICES strategic initiatives as required;
8. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
This full-time opportunity is for an existing vacancy at ICES Central. The annual salary range for this role is $82,000 – $94,000. The Successful candidate must reside within Ontario while working under our remote flex model and be able to come into the office when required from time to time.
Security clearance may be required.
