Senior Proposal Specialist

The Senior Proposal Writer will play a central role in the ongoing success and growth of NavPoint by providing Proposal Management services in response to the needs of our clients in Canadian Federal, Provincial or Municipal sector and / or private sectors. As a member of our Business Development Team, the successful candidate will work with Recruiting and BDT in responding to client requests on existing and future contracts, as well as developing strategies for acquiring and managing future business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide proposal development leadership to Business Development team in support of additional revenue generation objectives.
• Set up the proposal response team, communicate win strategy and themes, and work with the Executives to define the pricing strategy for the responses.
• Oversee the preparation of responses to requests for proposals and services, ensuring all mandatory and rated criteria are met.
• Provide support, guidance, and quality assurance to bid teams and revision of documents.
• Follow-up with client references to ensure response compliance to requests for proposals and services requirements.
• Manage, write, and conduct QA on Proposals and ensure timely submission of proposals.
• Maintain win-loss submission information, debrief losses, and maintain a lessons-learned repository to improve the NavPoint response capability to requests for proposals and services and the overall win ratio.

OTHER GENERAL DUTIES:

• Manage multiple competing priorities and, if required, work with management to determine priorities.
• Work closely with all stakeholders and teammates.
• Attend meetings and advise senior management on opportunities and marketplace trends.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Provide support to internal corporate business requirements and special projects as identified by the Management Team.
• Work with MS Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

• Must have a Government of Canada Security clearance.
• Must have 3+ years of experience in RFP proposal writing and development in the Canadian public sector.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and ability to work effectively individually and within a team.
• Experience in the IM/IT RFP industry would be an asset; and
• Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a post-secondary degree or diploma, ideally in business or a related field.
• Proven ability to learn quickly.
• Fluency in English (French is an asset).
