On behalf of our client in Richmond, BC,Ignite Technical Resourcesis looking for a Senior Scrum Master for a 12-months contract position. This is a hybrid position that which will require 1-day of onsite work per month.
Role:
The successful candidates will be part of a new agile pod formation in an established enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful team formation and developing team culture and belonging.
Responsibilities:
- Scrum Master delivers projects of varying complexity and size and for ensuring support of the production applications meet the expected service levels of our customers.
- Will guide and coach product owners and development teams through story development, iterations, retrospectives, product backlog management and decision making.
- Scrum Master will use specialist knowledge of agile and scrum to help teams deliver and continuously improve their product quality, velocity of delivery and professional development.
- Scrum Master will help to remove any impediments blocking progress of product delivery.

Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) majors
- 6+ years direct hands-on experience in the agile practice.
- 4+ years of relevant experience with agile methodologies and DevOps environments
- 2+ years’ experience of deployment to cloud
- 4 years+ product development experience delivering in-house solutions
- Holds PMP designation (or previously certified) and 2 years+ adaptive project management experience including project planning, estimations, budgeting, and forecasting
- Considerable experience identifying and removing technical & non-technical roadblocks towards team progress.
- Considerable experience guiding, coaching and educating teams on product delivery using Agile methods.
- Some experience working at the enterprise level, in highly complex and integrated environments is favorable.
- Holds Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification such as CSPO, CSD, CSP, or PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), CDAP, CLP.
Nice-to-haves: - Holds Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification like SAFe Practitioner, or commitment to take the course and obtain certification within 2 months from commencement of work.
