This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect, AI Build based in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of solution architecture, hands-on AI engineering, and client-facing delivery, where ideas rapidly become working prototypes that influence real business outcomes. You will be the technical builder at the core of a fast-growing AI professional services practice, transforming client requirements into scalable, production-ready AI solutions. The environment is highly dynamic and experimental, requiring speed, creativity, and strong engineering discipline. You will work closely with a commercial lead to design, prototype, and deliver AI-driven systems using modern LLM and agentic frameworks. This is a foundational role where you will shape both the technical delivery standards and the long-term architecture strategy of a new practice. Over time, you will evolve into a technical leader defining best practices, mentoring others, and scaling delivery capabilities across teams.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of AI solutions, from initial architecture design through rapid prototyping and production deployment.
- Build and iterate working prototypes and proof-of-concepts using LLMs, agents, RAG pipelines, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Translate client requirements into scalable technical architectures with clear estimates for cost, effort, infrastructure, and maintenance.
- Own the technical quality of delivered solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and production readiness.
- Support client engagements by participating in technical discovery sessions and providing engineering guidance and feasibility assessments.
- Collaborate with commercial and product stakeholders to evaluate build vs. buy decisions and recommend optimal solution approaches.
- Define reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, and build playbooks to enable scalable delivery across future projects.
- Contribute to production readiness, including monitoring, reliability, cost optimization, and operational handover of AI solutions.
- Identify opportunities to productize repeatable solutions and contribute insights to roadmap and product strategy discussions.
- As the practice grows, mentor future engineers and help establish technical standards and delivery methodologies.
Requirements:
- 6–10 years of experience in solutions architecture, software engineering, or technical consulting within AI, SaaS, or data-driven environments.
- Strong hands-on ability to design, build, and ship production-grade software solutions, not just architectural designs.
- Deep experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude, Replit, v0, or similar.
- Solid understanding of LLM-based application patterns including RAG, agents, prompt engineering, tool use, and fine-tuning concepts.
- Proven ability to rapidly prototype and deliver working software under tight timelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience scoping, estimating, and justifying technical solutions in a client-facing or commercial context.
- Strong engineering judgment with the ability to balance speed, quality, and production readiness.
- Experience in fast-paced, zero-to-one, startup, or innovation-driven environments is highly valued.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, MLOps concepts, vector databases, or AI safety considerations is a plus.
