Senior Sous Chef - Food & Beverage Systems


We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef – Food & Beverage Systems to support and elevate our culinary operations through strong leadership, operational excellence, and system-driven execution.



Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership to support the chef with operations standards

  • Support running the kitchen, role model standards and operating practices

  • Ensures high level of cleanliness and repair of kitchen by creating and supervising kitchen cleaning schedules and overseeing equipment maintenance

  • Work directly with the Culinary Director to execute Foodtastic's innovation and menu strategy across multiple brands 

  • Lead R&D for sauces, proteins, marinades, work sauces, toppings, beverages and menu platforms

  • Work hands-on in test kitchens and restaurants to validate speed, consistency, and execution 

  • Translate culinary concepts into scalable products with co-manufacturers

  • Support SKU rationalization, vendor consolidation, and system simplification

  • Participate in national rollouts, seasonal offerings, and cross-brand culinary projects 

  • Build technical specs, costing sheets, SOP's, prep workflows, and recipe documentation

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Beverage, Training and Culinary Managers



Qualifications:



  • 5 years in multi-unit or multi-brand culinary leadership (QSR or Fast Casual preferred)

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent

  • Strong technical R&D experience in both food and beverage development

  • Understanding of QSR systems, costing, and operational execution

  • Experience working with co-manufacturers is an asset

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Strong understanding of operational realities and cost structure 

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on environment
